For the past few months I have put the blogs of people that I follow on the back burner. It seems that I have just started to read them in time to find out something that displeases me a lot.

The artist known here as Darkermusing is no longer putting any art on DA. I find this a bit sad, I have always enjoyed work that she had produced. I had hoped to learn her method of using 3D and how she constructed things, as well as inspiration. However she was always busy, so I thought to never bother her with my silly questions. After all how do you show the most respect to someone? Do you add in to the countless others who may bother them? Or do you grant them a bit of peace, even if they don't know that you are doing it?

Either way, because I did not read the blogs for a good deal of time I do not fully know everything that had went on and had caused an issue. I went to read her older blogs and found them gone, probably removed from Darker. However with the blog she did leave, I learned more than enough to be just as angered at DA. I too feel that my art is MINE to say how it may or may not be used. DA does not own my work, I do. If they wish to use it, they are to ask. If I deny them, they are to respect that.

I am now torn on if I would even bother putting art here. Granted that my work is not near good enough to get attention is beside the point. I plan to look into what had happened to Darkermusing more, before I make any move to do anything. Once I feel I have a proper understanding I will do my best to spread it to well known artist here. I remember when it was thought that artists were going to loose their ownership to their art. They rallied together even if it was just a misunderstanding.

From my understanding from what Darkermusing has said is that DA is in a way stripping away our arts ownership. As she has stated "What so many people fail to realize, is the far reaching ramifications of what the DA administration has done. Sure, there really is the legal issues DA has completely and utterly glossed over. But with this action, they have told you plain as day, that they will do as they wish, and too bad. Deal. YOU, those of you who pay to be premium members, and all the rest of you who do not, have the right to choose what can and cannot be done with YOUR artwork. THEY took that right from you and YOU are allowing them to do it!!!"

I plan to inform others, not to fix things so that Darkermusing will come back, (as much as I hope for that) but to bring back respect to the artists and to make DA a place for art to be trusted to properly share everyone's art without fucking us.
